How do you clean the ink jets on a HP printer connected to Windows Vista?

I had the same printer connected to Windows XP and to clean the ink jets when printing started to get stripes across it, I would go to properties, find maintenance and click on the options. This would self clean the cartridges and print out a small grid which should show the unbroken lines. I cannot seem to find this option on Vista. Not sure if the problem lies with Vista or the printer. Please help! How do you clean the ink jets on a HP printer connected to Windows Vista?
Look in HP Toolbox that came with the printer or download the latest driver for Vista.

The clean-up option is in the HP printer preferences utility. How do you clean the ink jets on a HP printer connected to Windows Vista?
It's neither Vista nor the printer. It's to do with the driver(s). Try going to the HP website to see if there are any updated driver(s) for your specific printer.

Unfortunately, when drivers were updated by some printer manufacturers they didn't update all components. It may be that they still haven't incorporated the facility that you speak of, but there's nothing wrong with going to the site to see if they have.
USE A GOOD WASHING MACHINE : )
