Has anyone ever returned their EMPTY HP INK CARTRIDGE'; for recycling?

I always see the little insert about returning my empty Hewlett Packard computer printer ink cartridge, but always buy a new one. Is it really worth it to return it? Will there be as much use in the ';recycled'; cartridge?Has anyone ever returned their EMPTY HP INK CARTRIDGE'; for recycling?
The thing I dislike about HP is that they don't pay you for the cartridges. There are plenty of retailers out there who will pay you up to $4 per cartridge you return (and some even cover shipping if you send back a good number of them). Here is one recycling program that you may consider: http://www.castleink.com/_recycle-ink-ca鈥?/a>Has anyone ever returned their EMPTY HP INK CARTRIDGE'; for recycling?
With Staples and Office Depot you get $3 for each, but not cash. You have to become a member (easy), you'll get credit for each cartridge, but it will be posted after 60 days. It rolls from quarter to quarter, but it ends on Dec 31st. You also get 1% credit from purchases (10% on some of them). After the end of the quarter they send you a gift card, but only if your credit is more than $10.00.
Staples offers $5 gift cards for bringing in your empty printer ink cartridges. The commercials are all over tv right now. You can't beat that deal!
